The Watsonville Center for the Arts opened its doors in the summer of 2022, in collaboration with these partner organizations: Activities 4 All, Arts Council Santa Cruz County, Baile Folklórico Ollin, Estrellas de Esperanza, Esperanza del Valle, Grupo Folklórico Los Cocuyos, and White Hawk Indian Council for Children.

Arts Council Santa Cruz County

Watsonville Center for the Arts is a project of the Arts Council. The Arts Council’s Watsonville offices are located here, including the Mariposa Arts program which provides arts education to thousands of Pajaro Valley youth.

Esperanza del Valle Mexican Folklorico Dance Company has been studying and performing music and dance from a variety of regions and states of Mexico for 40 years.

Grupo Folklórico Los Cocuyos

Grupo Folklórico Los Cocuyos is a folklórico dance group where you will learn dances from many different regions of Mexico. In addition to learning dances, we work to increase knowledge of Mexican culture and heritage through teaching about the meanings behind the movements and the clothing common to each region. We are also a community service group and our students participate in giving back to the community.

White Hawk Indian Council for Children

For 40 years White Hawk has provided the children and youth of our community opportunities to learn and experience the culture and traditions of our indigenous ancestors. This is primarily accomplished through teaching ancient dances of Mexico, most commonly known as Aztec dance or danza.
